Question: What should we wear?

Answer: A classic, simple look helps to create a natural looking portrait. Try to avoid busy patterned clothes that detract attention from the face. Light colored clothing works best for selective color tinted portraits. For group shots everyone should be dressed in similar colors.

Question: Here are some tips that you may find helpful in deciding what to wear:

Answer: For a studio shoot:

• For baby portraits I suggest that the parents wear all black. The parent's will then blend into the background, and the baby will be the center of focus.

• I like to keep the babies as bare as possible for studio shoots.

• A swaddling blanket is great for newborns and young babies. So please bring your favorite light colored one.

• For portraits of children and adults, solid colored clothes are preferable.

• For a white background, solid white tops with jeans look great.

For an outdoor shoot:

• Simple, solid colored tops and jeans work really well outdoors.

Question: What should we bring?

Answer: Please bring your child's favorite toy or other item that can calm him if needed, or become a prop in a photo. I have a few simple props that can entertain little ones as well. I am very open to your ideas, and no two photo shoots are the same, so bring whatever you might like to see in your final art.

Question: How long will the portrait session be?

Answer: I never rush our photo shoots. I will always work at your or your baby's pace. Please be prepared to spend at least 1 hour in our studio. For the babies, please be prepared to feed them at some point during our shoot.

Question: How does payment work?

Answer: A $20 fee is due at the time of your portrait session. This is not a sitting fee and will be put toward your package choice.  I accept cash or check. Payment for the final order of artwork is due at the time of ordering. Your final art will be ready for pick up or delivery approximately 2 weeks after you place your order.

Question: How do we select the pictures to print?

Answer: I will upload your images and send you your personal link (URL). You can choose the images you want printed and call/email us with the list. You can have any image printed in any tone. The online images are normally available for viewing one week after the shoot.

Question: What if we need to reschedule our photo shoot?

Answer: If you need to reschedule your photo shoot, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.
